The first time....

This was my first experience of geothermal activity in NZ. It's the craters of the moon outside Taupo. Bizzare how the vents just pop up in the middle of otherwise very ordinary landscape.
The best bit is the hissing noise all the steam vents make (bit hard to capture on camera though!).
