Something about my birthday

For a first birthday in New Zealand (and possibly a first one overseas) it wasn't too bad at all! Thanks to everyone who sent me emails and texts and cards. I had a lovely day. I woke up to find some flowers and presents waiting for me in the kitchen. Then, when I got to work, Andrea had stuck a big birthday sign on my office door! So everyone knew it was my birthday. At work, we had a special morning tea (lots of cakes and things) and then went out to lunch. And in the evening I hung out at home, drank lots of red wine and had yummy thai take-away with Andrea and Matt.

Tonight, I'm off to WOMAD in New Plymouth for the weekend with Lisa and Lucy (friend not sister). It should be awesome - I've been looking forward to it for months. What a good way to celebrate my birthday!
