Happy Australia Day!!

Happy Australia Day everyone!

Not many celebrations here for Australia Day (although most people at work thought I should have shouted morning tea to celebrate-ha!). I managed to listen to most of the hottest 100 on the internet and was sorely disappointed not to recognise most of the songs - shows how quickly one can get out of circulation.....

In the evening I did manage to celebrate by drinking some Little Creatures Pale (a good aussie beer) at a party at my German, French and Belgian friends' house. We sat on the balcony overlooking a lake, surrounded by tree ferns with Mt Tarawera (a volcano which last erupted in 1886) in the background. So no Australia Day fireworks but still pretty noice!
