Dunedin: The shoe fence

I'm still going down to Dunedin very regularly to do my field work. There was a bit of a lull over winter (I wasn't really keen on field work in Dunedin over winter!! Too cold). On the way to one of my field sites in Dunedin there is a fence which is completely covered in people's old shoes. On one of my recent trips there, my colleague Margaret's shoes were completely worn out so she added to them to the fence.... Very funny. I hope I get to add some shoes to the fence one day!
