The beginning of Denmark and Legoland!

While I was in Jutland on the weekend, I was lucky enough to get to do some sightseeing as well as work! On Sunday we visited Jelling which is where the birthplace of Denmark is spposed to be. There are some rune stones that were a memorial describing how the Danes had been made Christians - this is supposed to be the birth of Denmark. There are also a couple of HUGE burial mounds and a pretty church and cemetary.

Apparently you can't go to Jutland without visiting Legoland! That's right people, it's a theme park made of lego! It was terrific fun - lots of small model villages plus larger creations and heaps of rides too. It's really designed for kids, but I had a pretty good time!!

And this is a model of Copenhagen harbour. There are even boats that sail up and down the river and cars that drive on the roads!

This is a human-sized version of the lego castles, complete with large lego guards. It had a cool roller coaster - you went through the castle and saw various scenes made from lego and then looped out of it at the end.
