Helsinki by night

After the expense of being in Norway, we were relieved to arrive in Finland and be able to afford beer!

We had a lovely time walking around Helsinki. It's a really beautiful city - not stunning like Stockholm or Copenhagen but very accessible. We spent a couple of days wandering around the city and catching up with friends. One of these friends was Sanna, a Fin who came to Perth on exchange in 1995 and went to my school. We haven't seen each other since but when we caught up this week in Finland, it was as if all that time had never passed! Aside from the fact that she now has a husband and child of course.....

We met up with Pyry one evening at an Aussie bar for a drink. And another time had drink and dinner with Bruno who is a friend of my sister's.
